FIRST IMPRESSION

Your header image is really bright and colourful! It's really cool! I like your layout too.

The only thing I don't like are all the google adds trailing around the front page. They're not really necessary and make the page look untidy. Already I can tell your site has a good purpose though.

SITE NAME

Your site name isn't overly original but it suits the main theme of your website. Straight away I had a good clue of what I'd be finding there. I don't understand why you have "2" at the end of "The Babysitters Club 2".

CODING/ VALIDATION

You claim that your CSS is validated, and it is which is great! Your HTML has 9 errors, 3 warnings, your site is also using Iframes, which aren't always useful. Then again, I don't think you've coded your site yourself judging by what it says in the footer. (Note from BSC2: The website is created and coded ourselves, we own NeoScribe)

LAYOUT

I have already made a brief comment on this under "First Impression". It seems realatively organised, aside from all the adds.

CONTENT

First of all, you have two navigations which is slightly confusing. Why not merge the two and have them under your header image? If you don't understand what I mean, click HERE for a screenshot.

Contact

Yay! You have a contact form for your visitors to use! This is very useful to them. :)

Arts and Crafts

Wow! These are really good ideas! Your babsitters will never get stuck! :) Keep adding ideas to this page to make it grow, but overly this is a really helpful page to have.

Problems

This is pretty much like a forum, which is useful. What I don't understand is why you have a new contact form at the bottom of each page, as well as a contact page serperately. Wouldn't it be much easier if you just used one form and linked it on the pages you needed to?

Tips and tricks

Another navigation? This is sort of confusing. What I don't understand about the following pages is why you use cutenews to display the information and so that visitors can post comments. This idea is OK, but if you want a different way that prevents spam better, try using wordpress. I like how you have the resume links on one of the pages, and a resume generator. You also have a sub list and calendar to download!

News

Self explainatory. This is one page that cutenews should be used for. The rest of the pages don't really need it.

Babysitters quiz

haha! I took this quiz and did really badly which shows I'm not really cut out for babysitting! But it's very useful and interactive for your visitors. Quizzes are fun to take and this one also provides good information.

Awards

You have a few awards here so congratulations for getting them! You also offer an award for other webmasters. Good idea... I might apply!

Join our staff

Basically this page is for people who want to co-own the site with you, right? Good idea. More heads equals more ideas! Maybe remove the navigation at the top of this page too; your visitors can just scroll down to reach the form at the bottom.

Links

Pretty good page. Try and add some more links to other babysitting resource sites. OVERALL COMMENT

Aside from the google adds, extra unwanted navigations and contact forms, your site is really good Sheryll! It has a great purpose,is very unqiue, like I first thought, and very good information on it. I'd be surprised if you didn't get that many visitors! Just work on adding more content and maybe a few more interactive features for your visitors and your site will be great! Best of luck :)
